Los amantes de este tipo de producciones pueden estar tranquilos, porque 'Nuestro Planeta' está a la altura de otras series de corte similar como 'Planeta Tierra' y 'Planeta Azul', de hecho, la nueva apuesta de Netflix es del mismo creador de las anteriores, Alastair Fothergill. Y como en las anteriores, el narrador de la versión original no es otro que Sir David Attenborough, mientras que en la versión doblada tendremos la ocasión de reconocer la voz de Penélope Cruz.
'Nuestro Planeta' es un recorrido por los distintos reinos biológicos del planeta, con impresionantes imágenes de las criaturas más fascinantes del reino animal en acción y del cambio medioambiental a una escala que hay que ver para creer.
La serie recorre la diversidad de hábitats del planeta en toda su amplitud, desde la remota naturaleza ártica y las misteriosas profundidades de los océanos, hasta los extensos paisajes africanos y las variadas junglas de Sudamérica. Al descubrir los rincones más impresionantes de la Tierra y revelar cómo la acción del ser humano afecta a los ecosistemas del mundo, la serie abre la línea del debate global para proteger y conservar nuestro planeta.
'Nuestro Planeta', al igual que el 'Planeta Azul II', se centra en gran medida en los esfuerzos de conservación, con el fin de crear conciencia sobre el cambio climático. "Nos hemos convertido en la mayor amenaza para la salud de nuestro hogar, pero aún tenemos tiempo para enfrentarnos a los problemas que hemos creado, si actuamos ahora. Necesitamos que el mundo preste atención", afirmó recientemente Attenboroug.

En algún momento cubrían un cuarto de nuestro planeta, pero con la explosión demográfica, las liemos convertido en tierras de cultivo y reemplazamos las manadas salvajes por domésticas. Una revolución en las dietas y las prácticas agrícolas permitiría optimizar el uso de la tierra que ya liemos declarado de nuestra propiedad y dejar espacio para las praderas silvestres y la vida que de ellas depende.

Nosotros alteramos continuamente el flujo ele agua dulce. Ya no llega a los lugares que solía llegar y a las personas y la vida silvestre que la necesitan. Muchos ríos ya no llegan al mar. Los megadiques bloquean ríos enteros y, al represar demasiada agua río arriba, no se deja una cantidad suficiente para quienes están río abajo. Al ser inteligentes en cuanto a nuestras prácticas agrícolas y replantearnos la forma de represar los ríos, el flujo puede regresar.

Una vez fuera de las aguas costeras no existen gobiernos ni propietarios. La alta mar es compartida por todos nosotros. Ante la falta de reglas, liemos devastado colectivamente buena parte de la vida silvestre. Pero también es el lugar de quizás el mayor éxito de conservación: el salvamento de las ballenas. Si trabajamos juntos para proteger y compartir la abundancia de la alta mar, podemos asegurarnos de que esta prospere para las generaciones futuras.

7 Agua dulce
Sin agua dulce, la vida en la tierra no existiría. Es el recurso más preciado del planeta, pero es finito. Cada gota es vital para que todas las especies y nosotros, los seres humanos, podamos subsistir.
EL DESAFÍO
Nosotros alteramos continuamente el flujo ele agua dulce. Ya no llega a los lugares que solía llegar y a las personas y la vida silvestre que la necesitan. Muchos ríos ya no llegan al mar. Los megadiques bloquean ríos enteros y, al represar demasiada agua río arriba, no se deja una cantidad suficiente para quienes están río abajo. Al ser inteligentes en cuanto a nuestras prácticas agrícolas y replantearnos la forma de represar los ríos, el flujo puede regresar.
